(5) six-sided dice per player; two or more players (5 players is the ideal number of players); dice cup per player (optional)
Objective
The object of the game is to correctly bid on the quantity of dice rolled in a certain number, or correctly challenge a previous player’s bid.
A bid consists of an amount and a number. So, a bid of six 3s means the player believes out of all the dice rolled, at least six of them have a 3 for the face value of the dice.
Game Play
A round begins with all players rolling their set of dice. Players will keep their own dice rolls hidden from the other players.
The first player to open with an initial bid can be any player for the first round.
After a bid, play moves left to the next player. This player can challenge the previous bid made or increase the bid.
Challenging the bid means the player believes there are not as many dice showing the number previously stated.
Increasing the bid can be done in a few ways. A player can increase the quantity of dice.
A player can keep the same quantity of dice previously stated but increase the face value of the dice.
A player can increase both the quantity of dice and the face value of the dice, if wanted.
The 1s are wild and will count towards the amount of whatever number was stated in the current bid.
Once a challenge is made, all dice are revealed.
Players count the amount of dice for the number bet plus the wild 1s.
If a challenged player doesn’t make the bid, they lose a die. The challenging player will lose a die if the challenged player makes, or exceeds, the bid.
All players will collect their remaining dice and roll again.
Going forward, the player that lost a die in the previous round will be the starting player and make the first bid in the new round.
Winning
Once a player loses all their dice, they are out of the game. The remaining players continue to play.
The last player with a die or dice is the winner of the game.
Rule
If your roll results in a die stacked on another die, reroll all your dice.
